For the first time in Thailand, Montegrappa unveils its rich heritage of success in crafting writing instruments since its founding in Bassano del Grappa in 1912. In the world of collectible fountain pens, Montegrappa is a name that consistently brings Italy’s finest artisanal traditions to the realm of luxury writing. This time, Montegrappa invites you to embark on a captivating journey to explore the brand’s traditional craftsmanship and storied history at ‘The Art of Montegrappa’, located at the Crystal Court (in front of the TKI boutique), M Floor, Siam Paragon from August 11th to 31st, 2023.
This event serves as a true embodiment of traditional craftsmanship, allowing you to delve into the history of this luxury writing instrument brand. Throughout the event, you will witness the meticulous production process, starting from the initial sketching of prototypes to the intricate components of exquisite fountain pens. The craftsmanship is exemplified in the brand, particularly through the craft of 18K gold nibs, which provide a smooth and refined writing experience. Montegrappa’s skilled artisans continuously employ inspiring techniques to create remarkable pieces, such as metal engraving, hand-painting on the small cap, and miniature works of art that require hundreds of hours to complete. Additionally, the use of prestigious materials, including Montegrappite, resin, celluloid, and various metals, further enhances the exceptional quality of the pens.
Explore the diverse collections from Montegrappa, such as Antonio Canova, Apparition of Face and Fruit Dish, Tiziano Vecellio, Hemingway, and Khalil Gibran. These collections are dedicated to fine arts, including sculpture and painting, as well as the art of writing by renowned authors. With approximately ten new releases each year, each edition serves as a showcase of storytelling and craftsmanship. The collections celebrate a wide range of themes, from high culture to pop culture, featuring iconic pieces like the 007 Spymaster Duo, Bugatti Chiron, and Viking. Additionally, the Open Edition pens, such as the Elmo 02, Venetia, and NeroUno, are presented to highlight the classic vintage pen styles of Montegrappa.
What makes this event truly special is not only the breathtaking artworks created with Montegrappa fountain pens and inks by Pasinee Kongdechakul (Jeep Kongdechakul), Phannapast Taychamaythakool (Yoon Phannapast), Jidapa Chansirisarthaporn (JCCHR), Panrasri Sasinin (WHITE HAT), Arthit Lertlalitkul (Him HP), and Prapassorn Kanjanasoot (Teayii), but also the presence of these talented artists themselves.
